Our full on Discography. And don't bitch that we don't give freebies. There's 4 songs to download for free. Maybe we'll be more generous in our future releases :)
Discography
You must be wondering if there is a Vol 1, where is Vol 2? Well, to tell you the truth, only time will tell. Maybe you’ll see it in 10 yrs time after some rogue album or EPs that we’ll be releasing first. Anyway, Freakshow was based on the concept of a travelling circus, spreading music to people from town to town and also having that weird Carnivale feel to it. Yeah, that explains the gypsy clothes we have. And…not forgetting Moots’s ringleader look.
More →We had organised a tour around Malaysia and our sponsors were nice enough to print out 1000 of these cd’s. So, if you have it, it’s a collector’s edition. Heck, we only got one each to ourselves. The Freakshow tour was also the beginning of a series of shows that launched our 2007 album, Freakshow Vol 1- Tales of the Travelling Tunes.
More →Finally a break with collaborating with one of the foremost rap artist coming out of Def Jam Japan. MR DABO for ya baby! He’s cool and he’s got that voice that everyone is wondering , hey man…u got a sorethroat or sumthin? Anyway, this song was actually a syok sendiri for us la. You may love it or hate it.
More →This is our favorite album. We got to go as heavy as we wanted and we are proud to have our own Guitarist to produced this entirely by himself. Certainly, it was real fun to have a hand in production for this album.
More →Some amazing shit happened in this album effort. This was our second album and i guess we felt like we knew where we were going. We were crafting our art…so it was very much still experimental. We were pretty much shot down for jumping on the rap rock bandwagon. The thing is, we came out late, and not the presumption that we followed the genre.
More →Here’s the big green guy again on our album. I don’t know what Toru (Japan Label guy then) or his designer was thinking then, but he’s got cool tatts and a nice afro. This album also marks our collaboration with some of the top DJs around the world.
More →Just one of those repackages EMI thought was good to do. Yeah yeah, we were naive then…so what. The only good thing that came out of this repackaged album was we got to meet Papa Rock Ramli Sarip. Can you imagine us with Ramli Sarip? We still laugh when we think about it. Hehe. He rocks though.
More →Our inaugural release in Japan. From the sale of 50 copies in the underground market , it became 500 to eventually 1000; and it multiplied further like wildfire in Japan. It all came true when we were signed by Japanese label S2S back in 2004 and the album was in the top 20 charts Tower Records as well as HMV beating luminaries like Linkin Park in our first week of release.
More →The first official album from Pop Shuvit. Can you believe it took us 18 months just to record this baby. Of course, when you look back, we had to start somewhere right? HAHA…we’ve come a long way from this sound. But yeah, this album will always be the one started it all.
More →The second single which had some sort of relation to the X Games and also the one single that broke us in Japan. Still a favorite in Japan. We’re bored playing it though.
More →Jump – The very first Single of Pop Shuvit. Still played in shows till today. The idea was to come up with a remake of a hip hop song which all of us could relate to…well most of us could relate to. Moots grew up listening to Kriss Kross and sometimes wore his pants backwards. So, it was destined to be Jump from the beginning after all.
